How Snelli works
From the session to the finished report, without anything leaving your computer.
Snelli is an application you install on your computer like any other program. There is no web login and no server access. What you create in Snelli sits in an encrypted area on your hard disk, which only you can open with your password.
Seven steps
What you do, and what Snelli does in between.
Prepare the session
You create the session and choose three things: the patient’s pseudonym, the type of session, and the template for the note. Your therapeutic approach is set once in the settings, and from then on it is preselected for every session.
Snelli stores recordings, notes and reports under pseudonyms rather than real names as a matter of course. This adds protection for your patients’ identity, and in Snelli it is set up that way from the start.
Record
You start the recording and hold the session as you always do. Before starting, Snelli automatically checks that the microphone, disk space and memory are sufficient, so the recording does not break off mid-conversation.
Alternatively, you can upload an existing audio file.
Transcribe
After the session, locally installed speech recognition turns the recording into text. Depending on your computer and the length of the session this takes a few minutes, and it runs in the background. You can carry on working in the meantime.
The audio recording is automatically deleted by the system once the transcript is created. The transcript can be saved. The decision to keep it lies with the therapist.
Draft of the session note
From the transcript, the local AI model produces a structured note following your template. You watch the text appear and can see how long it still needs. If something breaks off, you repeat the step with one click, without re-recording the session.
Review and revise
You read the draft, change what is wrong and add what is missing. You can also ask Snelli for a revision: shorter, more factual, or in a different structure, for instance. Every version is kept, so you can return to an earlier one at any time.
Only your approval turns the draft into part of the treatment record.
Create a report
For a report you select the sessions that should feed into it, attach further documents if you need to, and choose the report template. Snelli produces the draft from what you have approved. The same applies here: review, revise, approve.
Reports are produced anonymously and work with the pseudonym rather than the name.
Export
Finished notes and reports are exported as PDF or Word files, and you file them wherever the rest of your documentation lives.

Your patient data does not leave the device.
Your patient data does not leave the device. The recording, the transcription, the note and the report are all produced on your computer, and none of it is transmitted to us or to third parties. What leaves your device is only what you export and send yourself.
Clinical authority
You make every clinical decision.
Snelli supplies drafts and you take responsibility for the content. This division of labour is built in deliberately. It keeps the software out of the territory where a medical purpose would apply, and it matches what your professional code already requires of you.
